GYM FLOOR REFINISHER

Perfect job for high schooler/college student/school employee.

No experience necessary. 

Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment/pails of finishes and running a buffer. 

Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. 

Must be a fast learner and dependable!

Crews leave from Rockford at 6 a.m. and travel to gyms around IL (and occasionally WI/IA/IN). Hours will vary by location.

Looking for Experienced (preferred) or Entry Level Wood Floor Professional. 

This job is a unique seasonal position, but we are looking for someone that wants to stay on long term. Full-time, plus overtime during the summer. On-call throughout the year (usually Thanksgiving/Christmas breaks, as most of our work is within schools). 

Preferred experience: 

• Experience running sanding equipment, such as drum and belt sanders, edgers, buffers and applying finish.

Required experience: 

• Knowledge of carpentry, construction, running power tools, taking measurements. WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL.
• Job requires daily travel throughout IL, WI, IA, IN. Generally, home in the evenings, but will require some overnight travel. 
• Must be dependable, hard-working, positive attitude, able to take direction and learn quickly. 
• Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record. 
• Must be able to pass a background check. 
• Must be physically capable of heavy lifting, standing, kneeling, bending, and walking for extended periods of time. 

Pay is based on IL Carpenters Prevailing Wage for most jobs. Travel/Non-Prevailing wage will be based on experience.
